Set Your Rate
You choose your session rate within ViaThera's recommended ranges. Families see your rate + a flat platform fee (paid by them, not you) at booking.

Deliver sessions in-home, at a community location, or via telehealth. Use ViaThera's AI documentation tools to complete your session notes faster.
Get Paid
After you submit your session note, payment is released to your Stripe® Connect account. You receive 100% of your private pay clinical rate.
Your Rates — What You Earn Per Session
Set your own rate within ViaThera's range for each session length and modality you offer. Families pay a flat $11.99 booking fee per session — it is never deducted from your earnings. Phone screenings are free, and Medicaid sessions carry no booking fee at all.

How does ViaThera make money?
Through a flat $11.99 ViaThera booking charge paid by the family at booking — the same on every session, any length, any type. Medicaid sessions carry no booking charge. We also offer an optional $59/month Premium plan for therapists who want AI documentation, CMS-1500 generation, credentialing trackers, and analytics. You pay $0 per session either way, and your full clinical rate goes directly to you via Stripe Connect.

Families pay you directly through ViaThera
- Family books and their card is authorized (held, not charged) for your rate plus a flat $11.99 ViaThera booking charge — the same on every session, any length.
- You deliver the session and submit your note through ViaThera.
- Your full rate is released to your Stripe Connect account on our payout schedule. ViaThera charges you $0 per session.
- A superbill is auto-generated for the family — it shows your clinical rate only. The ViaThera booking charge never appears on the superbill.

We know switching platforms means asking your existing families to change how they book and pay. We've made that easy.
Platform Fee Waived
Your existing clients pay only your clinical rate for their first 30 days on ViaThera. No platform fee. This gives families time to experience the dashboard, superbills, scheduling, and progress tracking — at no additional cost.
50% Platform Fee
Starting in month 2, the platform fee is introduced at 50% of the standard rate. Families have now seen the value of the platform, and the reduced fee eases the transition.
Standard Fee
Full standard platform fee applies. By now, families are using the dashboard, downloading superbills, and booking seamlessly — the fee feels like a natural part of the experience.

How to enroll
During onboarding, you'll flag which of your current clients you'd like to bring onto ViaThera. We'll mark them as transition clients in the system — the reduced fee applies automatically. No codes, no manual adjustments.
The Bring Your Caseload program applies to clients you were actively seeing before joining ViaThera. New clients found through ViaThera's matching and marketplace pay the standard platform fee from day one.
Your time is protected.
Late cancellations and no-shows cost you time you can't get back. ViaThera's cancellation policy ensures you're compensated fairly.

Cancellation and no-show charges are processed through the same Stripe Connect split. Your portion is deposited to your account within 2–3 business days.

Rate Changes
Update your rates anytime from your dashboard. Changes apply to future bookings only — existing scheduled sessions are unaffected. There's no limit on how often you can adjust.
Session Minimums
There are no session minimums, no caseload requirements, and no penalties for taking time off. You can pause your calendar without deactivating your profile.
Disputed Charges & Chargebacks
For card payments processed through ViaThera, we manage the Stripe dispute process and your payout is not reversed during the review period. Insurance and Medicaid claims are yours — you bill under your own NPI, so appeals and denials are handled by you, with our tools and guides to help.
Taxes & 1099 Reporting
As an independent contractor, you'll receive a 1099-NEC at year-end. We recommend setting aside 25–30% of your earnings for taxes and making quarterly estimated payments to the IRS.
Community Location Sessions
Sessions at community locations (sensory gyms, libraries, rented clinic spaces) use geofencing check-in to verify attendance. Coordinate with the family at least 48 hours in advance to confirm the location. Community sessions are priced identically to in-home sessions.
First Payout Timing
Your first card payout may take 7–14 days while Stripe verifies your identity and bank account. After that initial hold, payouts run on a bi-monthly schedule — the 1st and 15th of each month — covering sessions completed since the previous payout. Insurance and Medicaid reimbursement is paid directly to you by the payer on their own timeline.

I'm Senna — a licensed pediatric OT in Colorado and I've been on both sides of this work. I received OT and speech services as a child, which is what first pulled me toward the field. Years later, while studying Global Health in Uganda, I saw firsthand what happens when rehabilitation infrastructure isn't there. Since then I've worked as a caregiver at Jill's House and United Cerebral Palsy, as a school-based clinician, and in acute care — and every setting taught me something different about what families actually need.
I built ViaThera because I've lived both sides of this problem — as a kid who needed therapy and as a therapist navigating a system that doesn't always work for the people inside it. This platform exists to change that: for the families trying to find the right care, for the therapists trying to build careers that actually work, and for the kids around the world who deserve access to the services that changed my life.
